The people and places that cannot use Vault.
Who may not use Vault
If you are a restricted person or located in a restricted jurisdiction, you may not use Vault. Accessing Vault through a VPN or other circumvention tool to bypass these restrictions is a violation of these Terms.
Specifically, you may not access or use Vault if you are: located in, resident in, or organized under the laws of a Restricted Jurisdiction (see Restricted Jurisdictions below); designated on a sanctions list administered by any applicable government authority (Sanctioned Persons); acting on behalf of, or for the benefit of, a restricted person or entity; or otherwise prohibited under applicable export control or sanctions laws.
By using Vault, you represent and warrant that you do not fall into any of these categories.
Sanctioned Persons
Vault does not permit access by anyone designated on:
The U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN list or any other OFAC sanctions list; the European Union consolidated sanctions list; the UN Security Council consolidated sanctions list; or any other applicable financial sanctions regime.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Vault reserves the right to apply additional sanctions screening as required by applicable law.
Restricted Countries and Regions
Vault restricts access by persons located in, resident in, or organized under jurisdictions where access is prohibited by applicable law or by Vault's compliance policy.
Restricted jurisdictions include: the People's Republic of China; jurisdictions identified by the Financial Action Task Force as subject to applicable high-risk or increased-monitoring restrictions; jurisdictions subject to applicable comprehensive United States sanctions, including relevant sanctioned territories and regions; and additional jurisdictions designated by Vault where use of decentralized finance or digital-asset crowdfunding services is prohibited or materially restricted.
Vault may update these restrictions as laws, sanctions programs, regulatory requirements, or compliance considerations change. You are responsible for checking this page before using Vault.

How access is enforced, and what it means for you.
VPN & circumvention
Vault may implement IP geolocation to block access from restricted jurisdictions. Using a VPN, proxy, Tor node, or any other tool to circumvent or disguise your location for the purpose of accessing Vault from a restricted jurisdiction is a material violation of these Terms and of any applicable sanctions obligation you carry. Vault is not responsible for legal consequences arising from such access.
Your responsibility
Laws governing blockchain platforms and digital assets vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether using Vault is lawful in your jurisdiction, comply with all applicable laws, and consult legal counsel if you are uncertain.
Vault's ability to restrict access
Vault may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for any user at any time without advance notice - including where Vault reasonably suspects restricted status, prohibited activity, or where applicable law requires restriction.
Access restrictions apply to the application interface and off-chain services. Restricted persons who circumvent these restrictions remain in violation of these Terms and applicable law.
